Exhibition of March 2017

Before you the exhibition, the ambivalence of perception which is born by combining reality and abstraction. For the first time in my art work the process of creating paintings is presented to the audience in all its fullness and integrity. Spiritual contemplation is going synchronously with the artistic creation of work of art, giving rise to a whole range of deep, essential and verbally indescribable impressions. In the photos the viewer sees real Italian landscapes, then - studies, painted in the open air, and at the end - a large abstract metaphysical paintings in the technique of "cold wax" with a complex texture and transparency of layers. These canvases, as well as the existing world, are the dual mirror, on one side of which is material reality, and on the other - a metaphysical space. In the studies I wanted to convey visible space - hot Italian sun, fog, storm, silhouettes of mountains, colorful little houses, located along rivers, taking its origin highly in the mountains. Dilapidated multilayer plaster and color layer of Italian houses, their greenish walls along the Venetian canals, the complexity of color relationships - everything speaks of the long history of this beautiful country. In my works I use the same principle of layering, combining it with transparent and opaque layers of paint that are associated with certain Italian landscape.
