Exhibition of August 2013

From 1 to 31 of July in the S.P.A.S. Gallery will take place painting exhibition from reserves under title "The Guiding Thread". In the Ancient Greek myth hero Theseus may have lost his way in the labyrinth and perished if fallen in love with him princess Ariadne had not given him a ball of thread. This simple item helped the hero to find the way out of the labyrinth and save himself. How often we are rescued at difficult moments by something simple and ordinary that accompanies us always. Pictorial art has accompanied man throughout his existence - from cave paintings to video installations, and it has helped him to live all that time - from success in hunting in the Paleolithic age to the search for truth of young souls parched by spiritual thirst. Painting is the guiding thread that can help man to escape from the labyrinth of doubt to be himself in freedom. The pictures, presented at this exhibition, painted by artists of different schools and directions, but all of them can give comfort and joy.
